If you plan to fish, you'll need a valid Parks Canada fishing licence. This is separate from your boat rental and can be purchased at local outfitters or online at Parks Canada's website.
Bringing or renting a motorized craft? All operators of motorized vessels must carry a valid Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC). This is a federal legal requirement — no exceptions.
All rentals include Transport Canada–approved life jackets for every person in your group. Safety is built in — no need to bring your own.
There is no cellular service along Maligne Lake Road or at the lake itself. Download offline maps (e.g., Google Maps or maps.me) before you leave Jasper townsite.
All keys are available for pickup at the Astoria Hotel, 404 Connaught Drive, Jasper — during regular business hours. Return keys to the same location at the end of your rental.
Jasper is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Please respect wildlife, stay on designated water access points, carry out all your garbage, and leave these lakes as beautiful as you found them.
